3 months old already...so hard to believe my little guy is already 3 months old! He is such a sweet little guy. He is adored by his sisters; doted on by our families; and loved beyond measure by us all. Since I know he is our last I am really trying to savor the moments because although it cliche :: time flies (even more so when you have 3 little ones :} ).

Jon & Emily had an absolutely perfect day :: the weather was perfect, the venue ~ The Geoi Center was amazing, the flowers ~ by Eastern Floral were beautiful, and Emily had an amazing dress from Renee Austin's Wedding Botique.

The day was filled to the brim with love, it truly oozes from Jon & Emily! I love how they looked at each other, as if completely giddy with excitement and anticipation for the beginning of the rest of their lives. It was a fantabulous day that we were honored to be a part of!

This wedding was beautiful...and very special to me as one of my very best friends, Heidi was the gorgeous bride! The wedding took place at the historic Perry Hotel in downtown Petoskey. It is a very quaint and beautiful hotel...the ceremony took place on the rose garden veranda overlooking the lake, which is breath taking! Every detail was beautiful, I really loved her bouquets, the color combo was stunning! The flowers were done by Plain Jane Flower Shop. The wedding party was great, totally fun and full of laughs! And the love that radiated between Heidi and Dan was like a fairy tale...they are so in love and happy! Congrats to two of my favorite people!

This wedding was simply gorgeous! I knew it would be even from our initial consultation....Kate is a VERY organized person and is SO GOOD with details! If you love what you see check out Kate DeKoster Handmade and maybe she can help you with all your wedding details too!

Seriously every detail was beautiful, the color scheme was a gorgeous ivory and champagne...natural, elegant, very chic! One of my favorite details was the the bridesmaid dresses, each different and TOTALLY AWESOME! And then there was Kate's UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING Vera Wang dress.....can you say G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!

Kate and Kai were married at her family church and then chose the very trendy, EVE at The BOB in Grand Rapids for a fabulous reception! Again her details were FANTASTIC!

you know how there are some people that you meet and you instantly feel like you could have been friends with them forever! Well that's heather & eddie...I had been talking and emailing with heather for the last 4 months but did not meet her until the day of the engagement session (since they currently live in Seattle) They are seriously awesome: carefree, fun, sweet and so in love! I am actually kinda bummed they live across the country, since they are super fun to hang with!

I met them in Traverse City just two days before the wedding for the rehearsal (their families are as cool as them) and a mini engagement session. I feel that the engagement session is so important, it gives a chance to get to know each other & gives the couple awesome pictures when they are not all glam'ed up for the wedding day (I truly cherish my engagement pictures).....

Meet Heidi & Dan! They are such a cute couple who hold a dear place in my heart...Heidi and I met in our freshman year at MSU...we were instant friends! I wish I was able to spend more time with Heidi but since graduating from MSU she has traveled the world and been very busy! SO over the years we have found a few times to get together which is always great and much needed to catch up! So last November I got an email (and a mass email at that :}) telling me that she was engaged! WHAT?!?!? and an email, come on Heidi... so I was super excited for her but she was on a tour to Afghanistan (she is pilot with the United States Air Force) so had very limited email access...I didn't hear back for almost a month, talk about suspense!After a few months of sporadic emails I finally heard the story directly from her, which was so great to hear. She was so excited, and rightfully so!

So with Heidi & Dan planning the wedding from afar, we weren't sure they would be able to sneak in an engagement session...but we did it, I headed up to Petoskey and met them for some fantastic pictures at the waterfront and beach at Bay Harbor!

....so meet Haley...

she is awesome, amazing, wonderful, funny, dramatic, passionate,

strong willed, loving, beautiful and the list goes on

best friend, amazing sister, loving wife, great test model,

and FABULOUS ASSISTANT/2nd shooter!

Haley came on board in 2009 as my assistant and 2nd shooter. She attends and shoots at every wedding; and you can occasionally find her at an engagement shoot, just so she can meet our fabulous couples before their big day!

I am blessed to have her perspective and creativeness.

She is a wonderful addition to Ashley Photography.

They are a super sweet couple that are completely head over heels for each other! We had so much fun adventuring around barns and fields finding the perfect spots. We had great success and it shows in their pictures!

1.) AMAZING michigan weather, seriously when we have great weather it is over the top!

2.) the flowering crab apple trees in my yard, I just wish they would bloom all summer long

so today as we enjoyed the glorious day, my husband kept commenting on how awesome our flowering crab apple trees were and how cool there flowers are...so I am sharing with you all the beauty of my trees :)

Newborns ~ so sweet but not always the easiest to photograph. I love sleepy newborn pictures but as all moms out there know, the babes have their own agenda and if we want them sleepy they might just stay awake! With that being said I do Love photographing them, as I am always up for a challenge! Awhile back my good friend and fellow photographer, Audrey Habeck gave me a few of her secrets ... well I tried them out, and they totally work! Thanks Aud, luv ya girl!

Ok so I totally love this girl...Andrea is a senior rep for me representing the Jenison school district. I met Andrea through the Renee Austin prom fashion show. After meeting her I knew she was going to be great. She is a totally cool girl: tons of fun, lots of style, incredibly gorgeous, daughter to a super mom, and musically talented....so we did her first session around downtown for a fun urban feel...
